India’s garment exports to the world have grown by 21.15 percent from US$ 10.685 billion in 2008 to US$ 12.945 billion in 2012, while China’s apparel exports during the same period have grown by 31.21 percent from US$ 113.021 billion to US$ 148.302 billion, India’s Minister of State for Textiles Smt. The Government of Canada has removed tariffs on imports of baby clothes in its bid to reduce the up to 40 percent difference in Canadian and the US retail prices.
