Encouraged by the impact of its first offline store, India’s online fashion retailer Myntra plans to launch 100 offline stores across the country in the next two years, Ananth Narayanan, CEO of Myntra-Jabong, said recently. Half of the 100 stores will be for Roadster, Myntra’s most popular brand, and the rest for HRX, Mango and other brands.

Indian company Arvind will raise by six-fold its garment making capacity from fabric by investing 1,500 crore in three years to meet the rising demand for branded apparel, according to company executive director Kulin Lalbhai. From converting only 10 per cent of its fabrics into garments now, the company plans to take the figure to 60 per cent.

French apparel brand Promod will launch its online store in India soon to make the most of the e-commerce boom, the company said in a statement recently. Promod online store will offer all items that it offers at present in its stores in India and at the same prices. Customers can pick up their orders at any store they choose or opt for home delivery.
