SAN DIEGO: Lawless Entertainment has struck a deal with Hoffman California Fabrics that sees the creation of a fabric collection containing the classic Suzy's Zoo character set Duckport.
The collection will start arriving at independent quilt shops and fabric retailers throughout the U.S. starting next summer. Global distribution is also on the planner, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Europe, excluding the U.K.

With both, MEG and PTA driven up this week by firmer crude oil support to downstream polyester chips markets strengthened a bit.
Semi dull PET chip markets in Jiangsu and Zhejiang saw stalemated sentiment even though crude oil markets were bullish. Most offers remained stable, with discussions for firm deals at previous weeks level.
Super bright chip markets were similar to semi dull chip market with for discussions and deals negotiated at the same level.

Polyester filament yarn markets in Asian region saw trading sentiment firming up in China on boosted by favorable news.
Sales/productions ratios for POY were largely reportedly at 100% or above while for DTY and FDY it was at a lower of 70-100%.
In Pakistan, offers were held flat while the market was lusterless, with prices are talked flexibly. Liquidation from local traders was lackluster.

The polyester staple fiber markets in Asian were mixed this week with prices in China softening while those in India and Pakistan were seen trending up after a long period of stagnation. In China, the markets were flat for most the week amid weak demand.
The market started the week on a soft note, with offers dropping slightly towards the higher end and later easing. Producers were eager to raise offers on the back of strong feedstock market.

BEIJING -- UBS Securities has lowered its 2012 economic growth forecast for China by half a percentage point to 7.5 percent because of slowing exports and weakened domestic demand.
